I moved to Topeka in 2012 after working in town for several years. I worked for NISCO for nearly 16 years, but recently took a position with a new company in Middlebury. In November 2016 I joined the Topeka Volunteer Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter and in 2022 joined the Redevelopment Commission to give back to a great community. I look forward to being involved in future activities and projects to keep Topeka a wonderful place to call home.

Projects

Here We Grow!

Currently the Redevelopment Commission has purchased approximately 51 acres of field located behind the Auction Barn.  The goal is to set up additional housing to support Topeka’s growing industry and housing shortage.  The board is accepting RFP’s from builders and will have public meetings to discuss exactly what will be done with the property.

The Commission is also working towards a new Waste Water Treatment Plant for Topeka.  Opening bids for this project will be December 5, 2019 at 1:30pm.  The plan is to begin construction in the summer of 2020.

Proud recipient of the 2019-2 Community Crossing Matching Grant Fund Program: $631,500
